My name is Miriam Lopez Palacios. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Photography, I am a freelancer and a mom. As a mother to two beautiful children, my passion for children's and lifestyle portraiture has only become amplified as I witness them grow and experience new things every day.
Throughout my life, I have always been drawn toward the artistic and creative aspects of expression - be it through music, art, and photography. Most of my education centered around music from a young age. I have been a private piano instructor for over two decades, and I mostly dabbled in digital photography as a hobby during my teenage years. I gained some professional photography experience while working at a portrait studio in 2011. During my time there, I realized that my passion for photography was on equal grounds to my love for music.
By the end of 2019, I shifted my focus towards digital photography. I love photographing images that are vibrant and joyfully captivating. I had the opportunity to further elevate the quality of my work and photographic skills by obtaining my degree from Southern New Hampshire University on November 19, 2022.
The images showcased in my portfolio depict a reflection of childhood as my subjects experience the world around them. The bulk of my work is currently centered around my children as they experience moments of joy and wonder as they get older. As a childhood photographer, I strive to encapsulate the pure essence of childhood through visual narratives that illustrate the beauty of growing up.
